Objective:
Students will investigate the freedoms ensured by the Bill of Rights by reading an informational text and creating a skit in their small groups with a score of at least 3/4 according to the rubric.

Do Now (Voice Level 0) 2 minutes:
Write today's objective in your own words. What is the activity you will be completing?
Whole Group (Voice Level 1-2) 30 minutes:
Each group will be assigned a different Amendment from the Bill of Rights. Once you have your assigned amendment, you must write a two-minute skit that informs the rest of your class about the liberties (or freedoms) secured by your amendment. Be creative!
Exit Ticket (Voice Level 0) 5 minutes:
Reflect on your objective. Were you able to meet the objective for today, yes or no and why?
Homework:
Finish your skits and be ready to perform at the beginning of class on Thursday/Friday. You do not have to memorize your lines, you can bring your paper up to the front of class with you.
