Objectives:
Collaborative: Students will be introduced to and analyze the Articles of Confederation, our first Constitution, by reading, answering guiding questions, and writing a CEREAL paragraph with a score of 3/4 according to the rubric. Independent: Students will work to increase their lexile levels by reading an Achieve article about Benjamin Franklin, complete all summaries, and score at least 75% on the activity.

Independent (Voice Level 0) 40 minutes:
- You only need to summarize paragraphs that are more than three sentences! You may write your summaries as bullet points for my class.
Collaborative (Voice Level .5 - 1) 40 minutes:
Task 1: Read the first source together
Task 2: Use source 1 & 2 to answer the guiding questions on the front of your handout.
