Do Now (Voice Level 0) 5 minutes:
On a half sheet of paper, please create a circle map and write everything you know about Jamestown. On the outside of the circle, write whether you knew that from outside of class, the DBQ documents, or the Achieve article we did on Monday/Tuesday.

Whole Group (Voice Level 0) 10 minutes:
Class-wide circle map to review information about Jamestown.

Independent (Voice Level 0) 45 minutes:
Task 1:  Go into Google Classroom and complete the scavenger hunt for your TCI text Chapter 2 Section 5: Jamestown.  Yes, Ryan Luna, for this assignment you DO copy and paste directly from TCI. Don't forgot to highlight the correct answer in the right column!

Task 2: Watch this video on Pocahontas and answer these questions. I highly suggest working on this in side-by-side windows!

Early Finishers: You may read quietly, complete another Word Wall, or watch this video on the lost colony of Roanoke. I highly recommend the video, it's freaky!

Collaborative (Voice Level .5 - 1) 45 minutes:
We will be going over Document B, Document C, and our paragraph outline.

Exit Ticket (Voice Level 0) 5 minutes:
On the back/bottom of your Do Now: What is your claim for your CERL paragraph? In other words, what killed the early settlers of Jamestown?

Homework:
Complete your CERL paragraph in Google Classroom. This is a summative grade and is due Monday/Tuesday.

Here is a rubric for your CERL paragraph, but as long as you follow the outline on the back of Document C you should be able to score at least a 3.
