Guiding Question:
In what ways were the North and South on divergent paths in the first half of the nineteenth century?

Collaborative: Students will learn about society in the North during the antebellum period by reading a source collaboratively and completing a travel poster with a score of at least 3/4 according to the rubric.

Independent: Students will work to increase their Lexile levels by determining the central ideas of an Achieve article about early factory power, completing the first four tabs, and scoring at least 75% on the activity.
