Guiding Question: 
Why did European countries want to settle North America?





Objectives: 
Collaborative: Students will understand European colonization of North America by completing a jigsaw chart and creating a travel poster with at least 80% accuracy. 

Independent: Students will watch videos on exploration closely in order to answer questions with at least 80% accuracy. 

Standards: 
CA HSS 8.1 – Students understand the major events preceding the founding of the nation and relate their significant to the development of American constitutional democracy.
