Guiding Question:
Who the heck is Ms. Cobb & what will we learn in this class? 

Objectives:
1. Students will understand the syllabus by completing a scavenger hunt with at least 80% accuracy.

2. Students will interview one of their classmates by completing at least 80% of a graphic organizer.


Standards:
None 

Do Now (Voice Level 0) 2 minutes: 
Find your seat according to the seating chart!
Direct Instruction (Voice Level 0) 15 minutes: 
Intro to Ms. Cobb &  this class 

Collaborative (Voice Level 1) 45 minutes:
- Syllabus Scavenger Hunt 
- Here is a digital copy of the syllabus. 
- Classmate Interview 

Homework: 
Get syllabus signed! I will be checking for signatures on Wednesday.

Guiding Question:   What debate existed over adopting the Constitution?  Objectives: Collaborative:  Students will understand the debates between Federalists and anti-Federalists by reading, answering questions, and writing a constructed response with at least 80% accuracy. Independent:  Students will understand federalism by reading and answering questions with at least 80% accuracy. Standards: 8.3.7 Describe the principles of federalism, dual sovereignty, separation of powers, checks and balances, the nature and purpose of majority rule, and the ways in which the American idea of constitutionalism preserves individual rights.
