Collaborative: Students will learn about the battles of First Bull Run and Antietam by reading a source, completing prewriting strategies, and writing a CEREAL paragraph with a score of at least 3/4 according to the rubric. Independent: Students will learn about the Union's naval strategy by reading, watching a video, and answering guiding questions with at least 80% accuracy.

Early Finisher? Watch this, and/or this video, play Free Rice, read an Achieve article, complete missing or late work, research slavery in the antebellum South. Have you finished your 8th grade portfolio assignments? It might be a good idea to work on those!
