Guiding Question: What was the character of the Middle and Southern English colonies?
Objectives: Students will analyze the character of a middle and a southern colony by reading and answering guiding questions with at least 80% accuracy.
Students will compare and contrast the middle and southern colonies by completing a jigsaw reading in their groups, answering guiding questions, and completing a venn diagram with at least 80% accuracy.
Students will engage in collaborative discussions about the similarities and differences between the middle and southern colonies by offering and justifying their opinions.
Standards: CA HSS 8.1 – Students understand the major events preceding the founding of the nation and relate their significant to the development of American constitutional democracy.
RH.6-8.22 - Determine the central ideas or information of a primary or secondary source
Here is what you are expected to complete via Google Classroom over the next two weeks. These assignments are simple and should be easy ways to earn a higher grade. If we need to stay closed longer than these two weeks, we will return to doing work that we'd normally do in history class.
